Basketball Recap: Alak Skates Past Kali with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alak). They blew past the Kali Wolverines 71-28 on Friday. With the Huskies ahead 37-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Alak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Ahmaogak, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave Ahmaogak a new career-high in points. Paul Okpeaha was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Alak, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Kali, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Alak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-16 loss against Non Varsity Opponent on the 1st. Kali does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
