Von Steuben is 1-9 against Northside since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Von Steuben is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

Skye Rojek was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two doubles. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Amundsen, falling 15-2.

Northside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yailyn Medina, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Von Steuben's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Northside's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Von Steuben hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. It's a different story for Northside, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Von Steuben's hitters?

Von Steuben might still be hurting after the 21-0 defeat they got from Northside when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
