Basketball Recap: Wartburg Central Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wartburg Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They skirted past the Rockwood Tigers 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since December 13, 2024.

Rockwood lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Keegan Koch, who posted eight points and seven boards. Collin Abston was another key player, putting up six points and nine assists.

Wartburg Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Rockwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
