Basketball Recap: Ellsworth Comes Up Short

Ellsworth and Beloit squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ellsworth had to settle for second. They took a hard 55-38 fall against the Beloit Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

It was another big night for Eli Johnson, who went 13-for-15 on his way to 30 points for Beloit. Jackson Cheney was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

Ellsworth's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Beloit, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Ellsworth nor Beloit have any future games scheduled.
