Beecher had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Reed-Custer Comets. Considering Beecher have won five contests by more than five goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Reed-Custer from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Wences Baumgartner led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Beecher's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Reed-Custer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beecher will square off against Grant Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reed-Custer, they will take on Bishop McNamara at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Reed-Custer will be up against Bishop McNamara's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.4 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
