Baseball Recap: Leesville Takes a Loss

Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Iowa Yellowjackets, falling 12-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wampus Cats of the 13-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Leesville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Cunningham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Leesville now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Iowa, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

While Leesville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
