Baseball Recap: Morrison Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Morrison nor Annawan-Wethersfield made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Titans a 3-0 shutout. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered an 11-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

The result came thanks to Carson White's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Koltin Swaim, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamden White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Morrison is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Annawan-Wethersfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.
