Heritage is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Bluffton is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Patriots will welcome the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Heritage earned a 30-20 win over Tipton.

Lucas Weber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 212 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 212 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Heritage's run defense was locked in: Tipton could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Brady Boyle for the heroic effort on defense: he. Heritage didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.5.
Heritage's defense didn't let Quinn Tolle, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Wyatt Bertsch with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bluffton). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-14 victory over Southern Wells. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.
Bluffton's win came from a few key players Heritage will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Khamel Moore, who rushed for 117 yards and three TDs. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 87 yards. Another player making a difference was Axton Beste, who threw for 203 yards and one touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Heritage's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bluffton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Heritage has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 234.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 207 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Heritage against Bluffton when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 51-20 win. In that game, the Patriots amassed a halftime lead of 35-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
