Basketball Game Preview: Salem Quakers vs. Marlington Dukes

The Salem Quakers will face off against the Marlington Dukes at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Salem has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Salem turned things around against Girard on Tuesday. They managed a 61-57 victory over the Indians.

Meanwhile, Marlington had to suffer through a 86-50 loss at the hands of Louisville. While losing is never fun, the Dukes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Leopards are ranked 34th).

Salem's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Marlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Things could have been worse for Salem, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-36 loss to Marlington when the teams last played on January 7th.
