Volleyball Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield lost against Collegiate last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Winfield was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21.

Sylvia McIntosh paced Winfield's offense, picking up seven kills. McIntosh got some help from Addie Flaton and her 16 assists.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Collegiate, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Winfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Augusta on the 16th. As for Collegiate, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Clearwater on the 16th.
