Soccer Recap: Marlin Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Marlin was not quite Mexia's equal in the second half on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mexia Black Cats. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Cats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Marlin is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1. As for Mexia, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7-1.

Marlin will challenge Harmony Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marlin is facing Harmony Science Academy at the right time seeing as Harmony Science Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mexia, they will face off against Meyer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
