Baseball Recap: Hillsborough Takes a Loss

Hillsborough's last matchup with Sickles could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Hillsborough Terriers came up short against the Sickles Gryphons, falling 11-4. The Terriers haven't had much luck with the Gryphons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Nathan Vig was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Hillsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Sickles, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Hillsborough didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-3 win against Spoto on the 13th. As for Sickles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Jefferson on the 11th.
