Soccer Game Preview: Crawford County vs. Macon County

The Crawford County Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Macon County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Crawford County will be strutting in after a win while Macon County will be coming in after a loss.

Crawford County is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top against Chattahoochee County by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, Macon County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Southwest Georgia STEM Charter.

The victory got Crawford County back to even at 4-4. As for Macon County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Crawford County took their win against Macon County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 5-1. In that contest, Crawford County amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
