It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carroll County can now relate to. They took a hard 65-51 fall against the Northside Vikings on Saturday. The Cavaliers' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Carroll County lost, don't look at Bryce Smoot. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Smoot's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Brayden Smoot was another key player, putting up ten points.

Carroll County's defeat dropped their record down to 24-2. As for Northside, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-1.

Carroll County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-52 loss against Spotswood on the 4th. As for Northside, they have also already played their next match, a 55-33 victory against Western Albemarle on the 4th.
