Baseball Recap: Livingston Central Cardinals vs. Lyon County Lyons

Livingston Central had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 4-10 to make it four. They lost 18-7 to the Lyon County Lyons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lyons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 on Tuesday.

Drew Hosick was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Livingston Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-9 when he doesn't). Looking ahead, Livingston Central will take on Madisonville-North Hopkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lyon County, they will square off against Henderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
