Basketball Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Wheaton North Falcons and fell 88-56. Even if the Purple Raiders couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Bloomington's record now sits at 1-26. As for Wheaton North, their victory bumped their record up to 12-15.

Bloomington and Wheaton North could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Bloomington (ranked 530th) will meet Centennial (ranked 177th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wheaton North will take on Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Monday down 203 places (266 vs. 63).
