Soccer Recap: ALA - Ironwood Has No Trouble Against Apache Junction

ALA - Ironwood's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Apache Junction Prospectors with a sharp 4-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

They hit Apache Junction with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Marlaney Pensis-Ramirez (2), Michaela Bell, and Sofia Mazzarella.

ALA - Ironwood's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Apache Junction, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ALA - Ironwood will square off against Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Apache Junction, they will take on Benjamin Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Benjamin Franklin knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Apache Junction likes a good challenge.
