Volleyball Game Preview: Lewis Cass Kings vs. Southwood Knights

Lewis Cass is 1-6 against Southwood since August of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Kings will square off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m.

Lewis Cass lost 3-0 to Oak Hill on Tuesday.

Lewis Cass took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-11, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Southwood waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 20 straight wins... but they left with 21. They blew past the Tigers 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Southwood was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-6, 25-10.

Lewis Cass' loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Southwood, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.

Lewis Cass might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Southwood when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Kings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
