Chris Lively and Rain Li secure win for Kirby Prep

Recap: Kirby Prep Griffins vs. York Falcons

Even though the Kirby Prep Griffins have not done well against the York Falcons recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Kirby Prep managed a 37-33 win over the Falcons. That's two games straight that Kirby Prep has won by exactly four points.

Leading Kirby Prep to victory were Chris Lively and Rain Li. Lively scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Li dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Li has scored at least a third of Kirby Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Nate Kawasaki, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Kirby Prep and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for York, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Kirby Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Trinity Christian is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for York, they will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
