Basketball Game Preview: St. John's Jesuit Titans vs. Central Catholic Fighting Irish

The St. John's Jesuit Titans will head out to square off against the Central Catholic Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

St. John's Jesuit got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They managed a 56-52 win over St. Francis de Sales two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, everything went Central Catholic's way against St. Francis de Sales on Tuesday as Central Catholic made off with a 62-40 victory. The Fighting Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

St. John's Jesuit's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

St. John's Jesuit came up short against Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 65-57. Can St. John's Jesuit avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
