Football Recap: St. Francis Prep Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Francis Prep can now relate to. They received a blow on Sunday as they fell 27-12 to the Fordham Prep Rams. The Terriers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 24-14.

Despite the loss, St. Francis Prep still got an impressive performance from Sean Ibert, who picked up 131 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 120 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

St. Francis Prep suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-4. As for Fordham Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

St. Francis Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fordham Prep, they will square off against Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
