Volleyball Game Preview: Bemidji Lumberjacks vs. East Grand Forks Green Wave

Bemidji is on a seven-game streak of home losses, and East Grand Forks a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Bemidji Lumberjacks will welcome the East Grand Forks Green Wave at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bemidji's tournament run continued when they took on Kimball on Friday. The Lumberjacks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cubs.

Meanwhile, East Grand Forks lost 3-0 to Sacred Heart on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Green Wave have suffered against the Eagles since October 8, 2019.

While East Grand Forks ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Bemidji's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for East Grand Forks, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 16-14.

Bemidji was able to grind out a solid win over East Grand Forks in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Lumberjacks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Green Wave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
