Softball Recap: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. Lincolnton Wolves

Newton-Conover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 22-8 to the Lincolnton Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on March 7th.

Makenzie Patton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jesse Goble, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Newton-Conover's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lincolnton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
