Volleyball Recap: Franklin Central Has No Trouble Against Avon

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roncalli, Franklin Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Avon Orioles with a sharp 3-0 win. The Flashes haven't had any issues with the Orioles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Franklin Central took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 25-10.

Tin Shwe was the offensive standout of the game as he had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave him a new career-high. Anthony Suarez also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Franklin Central's record now sits at 9-3. As for Avon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Franklin Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Carmel on the 19th. As for Avon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Boone Grove on the 19th.
