Baseball Recap: San Jacinto Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If San Jacinto Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 13-2 takedown of Kress last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. San Jacinto Christian Academy fell 7-4 to the Tulia Hornets on Tuesday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Sy Potter was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

San Jacinto Christian Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. With the win, Tulia broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-5-1.

San Jacinto Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lubbock Christian at 4:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Tulia, they will head out on the road to face off against River Road at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. River Road has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.33 runs per game on average), something Tulia will no doubt try to take advantage of.
