Football Game Preview: Grossmont Foothillers vs. St. Augustine Saints + How To Watch

The Grossmont Foothillers will venture away from home to challenge the St. Augustine Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Grossmont's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six games.

Last Thursday, Grossmont got the win against Monte Vista by a conclusive 56-33. Given the Foothillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Monarchs are ranked 576th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grossmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corbin Dow, who rushed for 238 yards and one TD while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Those 238 rushing yards gave Dow a new career-high. Randy Ballard also helped out with an impressive 123 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 41 points the game before, St. Augustine was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 31-7 to Point Loma.

Grossmont pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.5 points over those games. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
