Volleyball Recap: Santa Paula Falls to St. Bonaventure in First Game of Season

Santa Paula had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs, falling 3-0. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Seraphs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-8, 25-9.

Santa Paula's offense was headlined by Madilyn Stonebraker and Emma Campbell, who picked up two kills apiece. Campbell also shared the team's lead in assists with Andrea Garcia: they picked up two each.

Santa Paula is taking a road trip to challenge Simi Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Bonaventure, they will welcome Fillmore at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
