Softball Recap: Northern Potter Panthers vs. Galeton Tigers

Northern Potter stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Galeton Tigers a 15-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Northern Potter sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jaylyn Williammee and Kayla Hyde were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Williammee struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Hyde tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Williammee has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Williammee got no hits from her three at bats, while Hyde scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Lillian Steele was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.
