Softball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

Fremont was the 8-0 winner over Angola when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Hornets on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fremont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sammy Meyers, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Meyers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Angola, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Fremont will take on DeKalb at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Angola, they will face off against Garrett at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
