Baseball Recap: Parkland Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

After losing to Freedom the last time they met, Parkland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trojans won by a run and slipped past the Patriots 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Will Dobil, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Parkland's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.

Looking ahead, Parkland will challenge Liberty at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Hurricanes have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
