Forest Hills has been away from home for two games now, but on Friday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Chestnut Ridge Lions at 7:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Forest Hills after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 30-22 to Penn Cambria. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Panthers are ranked 108th).

Despite their defeat, Forest Hills saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nate Cornell, who threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 84 yards, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Xander Richardson was another key receiver, rushing for 59 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Forest Hills wouldn't let Penn Cambria keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Kaden Carpenter was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

Meanwhile, Chestnut Ridge beat Bishop McCort 21-14 on Friday.

Haydan Webb was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 126.3 rushing yards per game.

Chestnut Ridge's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Aaron Ickes, Owen Claycomb, and Cooper Barefoot picked up one apiece.

Forest Hills now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Chestnut Ridge, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Forest Hills has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Chestnut Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 156. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
