 It was a good run, but  Freeport unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the East Allegheny Wild Cats by a score of  2-1. Freeport was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Allegheny apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  on Monday.
 For East Allegheny's part,  Michael Cahill made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). Cahill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Cahill was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Cahill wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Joseph Connors, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Freeport's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for East Allegheny, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-6.
 Freeport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Allegheny, they will head out on the road to  challenge  South Allegheny at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
