Shain Meador Turns in Season-Best Performance
Shain Meador produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mt. Carmel to the win on Friday. Meador rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 59 yards and a touchdown on perfect 5-for-5 passing, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win got Mt. Carmel back to even at 4-4. Meador's next matchup is against Lawrenceville on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Gavyn Cothern Goes Supernova in Richland County Victory
Gavyn Cothern's big game helped extend Richland County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Cothern was unstoppable, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Richland County pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Cothern and Richland County will face off against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Johnson Made His Presence Known in Robinson's 44-40 Victory
Reese Johnson was instrumental in extending Robinson's winning streak to four on Friday. Johnson was dynamite, throwing for 136 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 50 yards.
Johnson might have his next game, a road matchup with Richland County, circled on his calendar. Johnson threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Aj Knoblett put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 88 yards on only six carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.
Knoblett and Robinson will take on Richland County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will pit Knoblett up against the Tigers' star WR Dirks Weiler. The only thing left to do is find out who's the greater deep ball threat. You'll have to watch the game to know for sure.
