Hand (Madison, Conn.) snapped the 11-game winning streak of
Windsor (Conn.), with a 23-6 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown, the Warriors went into halftime with a 6-3 lead. The Tigers scored the winning points with a
Hayden Atwater touchdown pass to
Caleb Ewald that came in the third quarter.
Hand's most effective player was Atwater. He threw one touchdown.
Windsor's lone touchdown came on a 28-yard pass in the second quarter.
HHS had given up an average of 16.6 points prior to the contest. The six points that WHS ended with were well below its average of 34.3 coming into the game.
