Soccer Game Preview: Fluvanna County vs. Orange County

The Fluvanna County Flying Flucos will head out on the road to face off against the Orange County Fighting Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fluvanna County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Fluvanna County came up short against Western Albemarle on Tuesday, falling 7-1. That's two games in a row now that Fluvanna County have lost by exactly six goals.

Meanwhile, Orange County fell victim to Western Albemarle and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. Orange County haven't had much luck with Western Albemarle recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Orange County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Fluvanna County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Fluvanna County couldn't quite get it done against Orange County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Flying Flucos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
