Soccer Game Preview: Liberty Creek vs. LEAD Academy

The Liberty Creek Wolves will take on the LEAD Academy Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Liberty Creek is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Macon County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. Neither they nor the Tigers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Liberty Creek have been dealt a draw since back in March.

Their goal came courtesy of Chayse Manfred, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, LEAD Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Lead Southeast.

LEAD Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. Liberty Creek's draw gives them a new season record of 10-4-2.
