Softball Recap: Atkins Extends Winning Streak to Three

Atkins waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Harmony Grove Cardinals. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2017.

Atkins' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Harmony Grove, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atkins will welcome Clarksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harmony Grove, they will be playing at home against Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Senators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
