Volleyball Recap: Frenship Comes Up Short

Frenship lost against Wylie on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The match marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Frenship was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

Wylie can attribute much of their success to Kenly Collier, who had ten assists and six digs.

Frenship's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Wylie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Frenship will host Lubbock-Cooper at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wylie, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Midland on the 16th.
