Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. Crowley Eagles

The Roosevelt Mustangs will square off against the Crowley Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roosevelt has now lost 14 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the sixth.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Monday. Roosevelt lost 20-2 to Great Hearts Irving.

Meanwhile, Crowley came out on top against Brewer on Friday by a score of 7-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Ian Sullivan tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caleb James, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That hit was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alexander Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crowley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
