Volleyball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Loss

Baldwin was the 3-0 winner over Ottawa when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Cyclones on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Cyclones since October 5, 2020.

Payten Tate was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high. Kaelynn Walters also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Baldwin has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-21-4 record this season. As for Ottawa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-19.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin will host Santa Fe Trail on Monday. As for Ottawa, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wamego at 7:00 p.m.
