Volleyball Recap: Minarets Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Minarets can now relate to. They came up short against the Immanuel Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Minarets was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.

Immanuel found their leader in sophomore Brooklynn Semper, who had eight digs and three aces.

The loss snapped Minarets' winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 16-17-1 record. As for Immanuel, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-16.

Minarets does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Immanuel, they will be playing at home against Bakersfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
