Volleyball Recap: Oldham County's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Oldham County was the 2-1 winner over Scott when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colonels took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Colonels' undefeated start to the season.

Oldham County couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Scott a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 31-33, 25-13, 25-17.

Ava Arterburn paced Oldham County's offense, picking up 14 kills. Arterburn got some help from Ella Regenhold and her 19 assists. Regenhold was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oldham County fell to 2-1. As for Scott, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Oldham County and Scott will both be playing Bowling Green the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Purples at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Colonels will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
