Volleyball Recap: Patton Gets the Win

The Patton Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the University Christian Barracudas on Friday.

Patton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 12-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-13.

Hannah Huggins paced Patton's offense, picking up 17 kills. Huggins got some help from Emma Griffin and her 11 assists. Soraya Hartman controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Patton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for University Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Patton will head out on the road to challenge Brevard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for University Christian, they will be playing at home against Statesville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Barracudas their first taste of in-conference action this season.
