Chester scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 75-64 to the York Cougars. The Cyclones were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

York's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Lowery, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Lowery a new career-high. Kyle Cripe was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for York, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will welcome Rock Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for York, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Blacksburg at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
