Baseball Recap: Loyola Takes a Loss

Loyola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the Detroit Cristo Rey WOLVES. If the Bull Dogs were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the WOLVES when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mustafa Ali Brown-Bey was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Loyola now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Detroit Cristo Rey, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Loyola will venture away from home to take on Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Detroit Cristo Rey will be paying especially close attention to the Bull Dogs' game: after the Bull Dogs face off against the Jaguars, they'll take on Detroit Cristo Rey again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
