Basketball Recap: Pace Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pace extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-13. They received a blow as they fell 53-35 to the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-42 back in December of 2025.

As for Pensacola Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Pace is ranked 664th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pensacola Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Quebedeaux, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points and seven boards. Kavieon Brown was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Pace didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-31 defeat against Destin on the 9th. As for Pensacola Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 58-48 win against West Florida on the 9th.
