Volleyball Game Preview: Lewis Lancers vs. Edison Eagles + How To Watch

Lewis is 0-3 against Edison since September of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lancers will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lewis took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Mount Vernon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lancers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Majors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lancers have posted since October 16, 2024.

Lewis took Mount Vernon into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-27, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Edison hadn't done well against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Colonials. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Edison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 27-25, 25-21.

Lewis' record now sits at 4-8. As for Edison, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Lewis came up short against Edison in their previous matchup back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
