Baseball Game Preview: Mesquite Skeeters vs. Waxahachie Indians

For the second straight game, Mesquite will face off against Waxahachie. The Skeeters will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mesquite 3.7, Waxahachie 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Mesquite sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Waxahachie. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Skeeters.

Mesquite's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Waxahachie, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-11.
