Canyon Springs lost against Legacy back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Canyon Springs Pioneers fell to the Legacy Longhorns 42-36. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Legacy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trista Mabry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Mabry is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alabama Nieves, who posted 13 points and five steals.

Canyon Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Legacy, their record is now 11-2.

Canyon Springs will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Legacy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mira Costa at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
