Basketball Recap: Stearns Has No Trouble Against Penquis Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Katahdin, Stearns was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took down the Penquis Valley Patriots 58-40. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Minutemen considering their 23-point performance the matchup before.

Stearns' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Penquis Valley, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Piscataquis the next time they take the court. Penquis Valley will host Piscataquis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Stearns will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
